Mount Soledad offers the most inspiring views in San Diego. The highest peak west of Cowles Mountain in the San Carlos/ La Mesa area, this La Jolla spot is one of those places in our backyard, that, even though we may drive by it on the 5 going to and from work, even drive around it from Pacific Beach to La Jolla, can often go forgotten or left alone without visiting.
Getting to the top of Mount Soledad does wonders to clear the daily stresses from our minds. Take this as a reminder to take advantage of the many natural treasures offered in our own backyard.
